Abdulla passionately believes in making time to give back to his country and community. He has successfully established several charities and social initiatives over recent years that make a positive and lasting change to people’s lives. Each of these

charities are highlighted below. He has also introduced social responsibility platforms across his personal and family businesses.
 
Abdulla is passionate about: 

• empowering younger generations of Bahrainis’ with greater social awareness and social responsibility; and

• sharing with them his insights, knowledge, and knowhow on how to build sustainable and forward thinking regarding social community services and charitable initiatives, and

• working collaboratively with them to create a legacy of beneficial changes to his country and the wider Gulf Region.

Dreams Society

The Dreams Society was formed in 2011 with the goal of bringing joy to children affected by terminal illness or by a debilitating disease, by making their treasured dreams come true. Such
illnesses include (but are not limited to) cancer, cystic fibrosis, cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy.

MWPS

The Migrant Workers Protection Society is a Bahraini registered Non-profit NGO established in 2005 whose mission is to help expatriate workers achieve basic human rights in Bahrain in accordance with international standards. MWPS aim to achieve this by creating awareness, educating, advocating, providing basic necessities (ie food and clothing), translating, facilitating repatriation for these low income workers. MWPS depends solely on donations from private companies and individuals to carry out this important work. Without the community's contributions this work would not be possible.

Founded in 1998, the Bahrain Down Syndrome Society is a non-profit organization which is dedicated to providing the necessary environment of support for people with Down Syndrome, who require special attention and care to overcome the various challenges of Down Syndrome.

In line with the objectives of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, Tamkeen was established to contribute towards the development and growth of the national economy, by strengthening the private sector paving the way for Bahrain’s ongoing diversification towards a technology-driven knowledge-based, globally competitive and sustainable economy.


Tamkeen has two primary objectives: to first foster the development and growth of enterprises, and second to provide support to enhance the productivity and training of the national workforce.

YK Almoayyed Scholarship Foundation

Continuing its support to the education sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Yousif & Aysha Almoayyed Charity decided to open doors for a scholarship.

The administration of the committee has set standards for organizing the candidacy applications. The student must be Bahraini and his/her GPA must be 85% and above. The student must be accepted by a university recognized by the Ministry of Education and whether it’s a public or private university, the student must submit a certificate of good conduct.
